Not as the overweight guy on "as seen on TV" infomercial says but then again it's a knife set. Don't buy this thinking you can go out hunting, chop firewood, then come home and whittle a bit. Comment: Ok first off yes if you place these knives in the dishwasher, as with most knives, they WILL rust! If you take care of your knives at all you should always hand wash and dry them. I have owned a set of steak knives for over 5 years now and absolutely love them they are the only knives I will use. I have had the entire set now for about a year and will never own a different set of knives. If enjoy cooking and want a good set of knives purchase these. I don't consider these top of the line or anything close but you can' beat it for the money. The steak knives are quite good and haven't dulled after daily use and putting them through the dishwasher. I also love the Rock & Chop Cleaver & The Chop & Scoop Cleaver. These knives are stainless steel and we have never had one of them rust. Overall I would say these knives are better than average. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Knives! But Not "Perfect"! Comment: I've had my set of Miracle Knives more than six years. They are the only knives I own, and I'm about to buy a set to give my son for Christmas. They cut anything I've put to them, and most still look like new. There's a catch, though: Hot, hot water will dull them (as it will any knife), and if you leave them wet, they will get rust marks on them. I've not had any actual corrosive rust, but the rust color is present on the steel. Wash them by hand in warm water with soap, dry them, and put them back in their block. Every blade is still as sharp as it was the day I unpacked it. Buy them. Care for them as you would any valued item, and be happy! Oh, also remember what knives' primary purpose is! These will cut you so quickly and precisely that you don't even feel it at first, so have a care! (I can't vouch for their customer service department as I've never had any other dealing with them.)
