Summary: Serves my needs perfectly
Comment: I use this in my shop which is in my garage. I place it on one end of my walk around work bench and it supplies all of the heat I need. I live in northern Az with outside air temps down into the mid teens at night in winter. The fan does a good job of circulating the heat. The heater itself does not get hot to the touch and the multi-position feature is a plus. A very good products for my needs.

Comment: Have used the product for about 1 wk. Works great, I like its built quality (steel body) and light weight. The only complain I have is it is much noisier than the other 2 Delonghi heaters we have.

Summary: Less than 5 hours operation and it's dead
Comment: Bought one of these in October. I liked the fact that it had a large heat transfer area, so it should give a nice wide heat cone.
That it did.
What it didn't do was last.
I plugged it in today, and the fan is apparently seized. It just hums, and after a few seconds begins to overheat.
Judging by what I'm finding on the internet I won't have much, if any, success with Delonghi's "warranty."
Rather disappointing, but at the same time, enlightening.

Summary: High Quality Heater
Comment: This thing puts out a good amount of heat, even at the lowest settings. The casing is not some cheap plastic - it's solid metal and enormous (check the dimensions before you buy). As other reviews have mentioned, the major downsides to this heater are its controls. The dials are too easy to turn past a desired setting, and the larger dial is basically useless. When active, the timer (set by the smaller dial) makes an annoying ticking sound.
That said, this heater is great for a medium-large sized room. I keep mine set to manual mode (no timer) at the lower heat setting and it heats up my 15' x 20' room nicely. I don't really touch the controls other than to turn it on or off (manual mode to off and back) - maybe that's why I like the thing.

The Multi-Position design functions both as a Tower Ceramic Heater and as a Floor Heater. Heavy-duty steel body construction makes it perfect for both the living room or the garage! Roll-back safety system will automatically reposition the heater to a safe position in case the heater is misplaced on the floor covering the air intake grilles. Front roll bars prevent overheating that occurs when the grille is obstructed. When used as a Floor Heater, the heat flow is directed slightly upwards to extend the warming range beyond just your feet. Automatically turn the unit on and off for peace of mind with the four-hour timer. Safe ceramic heating element provides intense directional flow of heat thanks also to the extra largegrille for better circulation. Adjustable thermostat lets you easily select and maintain your desired level of comfort.Two heat flow settings let you regulate the output of warm air. Choose the High setting for 1500 watts or the Low setting for 825 watts. Alternately, the fan can be operated without heat for summer ventilation. The anti-freeze setting automatically turns the heater on when the room temperature drops below 44 degrees F. Safety thermal cut-off is one more way to ensure product safety. If the unit becomes too warm, it automatically turns off. No need to worry about overheating.
